A ballot will be held for the Club's allocation of Wimbledon tickets from the LTA on a date which will be announced annually.
The rules of the ballot are:
Tickets will only be allocated to members who are present at the ballot or represented by proxy.
Members must firstly have entered their names on the attendance forms displayed on the Clubhouse veranda for two weeks before the day of the ballot. These will be taken down the evening before the ballot. If a proxy is necessary for the ballot, it is essential this nomination is also included on the entry form. Please note that no new proxies will be accepted on the day of the ballot either in writing or verbally.
For 2010 the LTA has insisted that a club member must also be a member of British Tennis to be eligible for the ballot. The number of members who had joined by 30 November 2009 has determined the ticket allocation given to our Club by the LTA for 2010. This is likely to be the pattern for future years as well.
Only 2 pairs of tickets may be claimed per family.
Tickets must be paid for at the time of the ballot. Cheques are preferred.
The LTA insists members must not re-sell allocated tickets.
A member who accepts a pair of tickets will not be eligible for the ballot the following year. This still applies if members subsequently pass their tickets to someone else.
Juniors who are members of British Tennis are eligible for the ballot.
