After a challenging season Steep Mixed 'B' finished with an 8-0 win over Alresford 'B'
After winning every match in Div 3 last summer the Mixed 'B's had their work cut out for them this year in Div 2 where the competition was a lot stiffer. After a few unfortunate early matches it looked as if they would never get started. However, the 'Bees Knees' hung on to the distant memory of their glory days and somehow came up with the goods when it mattered. Graham Swan and Maria Nash won 6-2, 6-2. 6-2, 6-0. The opposition, along with Nash, spent most of the evening standing around admiring the 'Super Swan' serve which was clinically dealt out on the astroturf to very good effect. The Manghams were also back in force again winning 6-2, 6-1. 6-3, 6-4 making it the best result this season.
