Sat July 10th - Steep LTC Championship Finals Day.
The annual Steep LTC Championship Finals started at 12 noon and was well attended, most notably this year by young families with children out to enjoy the wonderful sunshine.

Mon July 7th - Steep Ladies B v Newman Collard A at home
The first win of the season for Steep Ladies B. The team on this occasion was Denise Hariton, Sharon Russ, Maria Nash and Jo Goodship who secured a 6-2 win for their club.

Steep Mens 'A', Steep Ladies 'A' and Steep Mixed 'A' all finish top of the East Hants Winter Tennis League.

Mon May 10th - Steep Mens D v Medstead B Away
Juniors Sam Pritchard and Will Coel represented Steep D well against Medstead B taking 2 sets.

Sunday May 9th - Jumbles Tournament .
Despite the cold wind the annual Steep Jumbles Tournament was well attended. 18 players took part in the fun tournament.

Mon 12th April Steep Mixed B v Midhurst.
The last Mixed 'B' match of the winter season ended with a 7-1 win for the Steep "Bees Knees".

The clubhouse extension is moving along and if weather predictions are correct due for completion in time for the hottest summer since 1976 !

Saturday March 13th - Steep Mixed 'A' v Swanmore Mixed 'A'
Steep dig deep against very tough opposition and take away 2 sets .

Wed March 10th - Steep Mixed 'B' v Alresford Mixed 'B' (Away)
Under the very cold and windy conditions which have been a constant feature of matches throughout the winter season, the "Bees Knees" managed to live up to their name once more by beating Alresford 'B' 7 sets to 1.

Steep Ladies 'A' travelled to Swanmore. After a long lay off because of rain, frost and snow it was the first match for some while.

Sat 5th Dec - Swanmore 'A' show Steep 'A ' how to play Mixed Doubles !
Steep LTC were given a lesson on textbook mixed doubles but unfortunately it was the away side Swanmore 'A' who gave it to Steep 'A' resulting in a 0-8 whitewash.

Nov 30th - Steep Ladies 'A' draw against Haslemere 'A'
Steep Ladies 'A' travelled to Haslemere on a sub-zero blustery evening.

Nov 29th - Steep Mixed 'A' beat Haslemere.
A 7-1 victory for Steep against Haslemere in the East Hants Div 1 Winter League at Church Road on Saturday on the one sunny morning of the weekend.

Oct 31st Steep Ladies 'A' v Swanmore 'A'
Steep Ladies 'A', recent champions of the East Hants Summer League Div 1, have carried on their winning ways in the winter competition, when beating Swanmore 'A' 5-3 at Church Road Steep.

Men's 65 + Reach National Finals .
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Men's 65 + made it to the National Inter County Finals.

12th October - Last minute substitution for Mixed 'B' v Newman Collard 'A'
The first match of the Winter Season for Steep Mixed 'B' came under jeopardy when the captain realised at 5.45pm she was a man down !

Sat Oct 10th - Steep Mixed 'A' v Alresford 'A'
On a glorious day the Mixed 'A's played their first match of the Winter League.

Competitive Teams at Steep LTC
In response to requests from members, SLTC's Committee is pleased to provide the following summary of the inter-club leagues in which we compete, together with details of the teams that we field. Squad selection and membership, the East Hants League nomination system, and the role of captains are all described – clearly we hope. The criteria used for the membership of each squad will be reviewed by the Sub-Committee that will be formed in due course to agree SLTC's 2010 teams.
