On Monday evenings two courts are reserved for team practice from 6.00pm onwards. There are also matches played on many other evenings (mostly during the summer) and for these, two courts will also be reserved. Please check the Club notice board for match dates and timings. Four courts will be reserved for Club Tennis on Wednesday mornings.
Other than at times stated in this Handbook and on the notice board, members may book courts throughout the week and weekend, during the day and in the evenings according to the booking system rules. The system is administered by Michele Mangham and details of the rules of booking can be found on the notice board.
Floodlights are available for Courts 1 – 6 and are switched on by meters inside the Clubhouse using card tokens (£2 per 45 minutes) available from The Harrow Inn, Steep or J & M Sports, Lavant Street, Petersfield, the Club Secretary, the Grounds Secretary and the Coach are also able to provide floodlight cards when present at the Club. Team matches take priority over other play. Once the lights have been switched off they will not restart for approximately 15 minutes. Please report any operating faults to Jack Watson or Grounds Secretary.
Old or unwanted balls are gratefully received for junior mix-ins and can be donated by placing in the baskets in the changing rooms.
Care of nets: please do not try to adjust the nets as they are fixed.
The ball machine is available for member’s use, Please obtain the key and instructions from Dave Gaterell or a Committee member. Members are asked not to use the machine alone as it is awkward to remove from the Clubhouse and transport to the courts.
